Resolving the odour issues at Walleys Quarry
Background and investigation
The Walleys Quarry site is regulated by the Environment Agency (EA) under an Environmental Permit.
Whilst the EA is the primary regulator for the site, we have a duty to investigate odour complaints. If we are satisfied that the odours amount to a statutory nuisance, we must serve an abatement notice on the company responsible.
