October 2022

Following an intensive mediation process led by former Supreme Court Judge Lord Carnwath, the council and Walleys Quarry LTD (WQL) have settled the appeal against the councils Abatement Notice. WQL have withdrawn their appeal and an Abatement Notice is now in place requiring WQL to abate the odour nuisance off site, and to prevent a re-occurrence of a Statutory Nuisance.
