Local plan examination
We submitted our local plan (2020-2040) to the Secretary of State for Independent Examination on 20 December 2024. The local plan Examination ended on the 19 May 2026 with the Inspector issuing her final report. The local plan (2020-2040) was adopted by the Council on the 08 July 2026. The following pages on the examination of the Local Plan reflect the process as a public archive.
During the examination, the Council consulted on a series of Main Modifications to the Local Plan. Further information about the Main Modifications consultation is located here
