Temporary event notices
What is a temporary event notice (TEN)?
A temporary event notice (TEN) is a way to organise smaller scale events that involve licensable activities at premises which do not have a premises licence or would be outside the remit of the premises licence.
Allow ten clear working days between serving the notice on:
- the police
- licensing authority
- Environmental Health
These ten working days do not include the date that the notice is served, the first date of the event or any national bank holidays.
Late temporary event notices (Late TENs)
These allow you to apply a little bit closer to the day of the event.
Allow five clear working days between serving the notice on:
- the police
- licensing authority
- Environmental Health
These five working days do not include the date that the notice is served, the first date of the event or any national bank holidays.
