J2 Active Programme

We have a new J2 Active Programme in the borough - we have moved some of the activities to indoor venues during February 2020.

Come along and exercise while improving your fitness, strength and endurance and improved overall wellbeing, making friends and having fun.

Exercise safely with a qualified personal trainer/pre and post natal instructor and achieve your goals.

There are sessions for all levels of fitness.

All sessions are currently postponed until further notice

The activities include the following sessions:-

Postnatal Exercise Class

  • Due to the weather conditions the Buggyfit has moved indoors.
  • These session are open to all abilities and provide great opportunities to meet new mums, while having fun, improving your fitness levels, toning and strengthening your core and pelvic floor muscles.
  • The sessions include cardiovascular exercises, strength training with hand weights, core and pelvic floor exercises on the floor and on stability balls.
  • The exercise class is adapted to cater for all abilities.
  • No need for childcare, your welcome to bring along your babies to the exercise class.
  • All you need to participate is comfy clothing, trainers and a drink of water.
  • Please ensure you have had your six week postnatal check, or 10-12 weeks if you have had a Caesarean.
  • No need to book for the session in advance.
  • The Postnatal exercise session is delivered by a Level 3 Personal Trainer/ Pre and Post-natal qualified instructor.
  • Registration form will be provided to you at your first session.
  • Toilets, baby changing facilities, and refreshments are available at Jubilee 2.
  • The sessions are £3 per session, or included in the Jubilee 2 membership packages. Jubilee 2 members must bring their Lyme Card with them for each activity.

Chair Based Exercise Class

  • This Chair Based Exercise Class is open to participants aged 50 years plus or those who don't exercise, or have health conditions, who need to participate at a lower intensity/low impact movements.
  •  The class will include having fun, improving your level of wellbeing,cardiovascular fitness, balance, and muscular strength and endurance.
  • All you need to take part is your trainers, comfortable clothes to exercise and a drink of water.
  • The class will be adapted to suit all abilities.
  • No need to pre-book for the session in advance.
  • There are toilets and refreshments available at Jubilee 2.
  • The sessions are £3 per session, or included in the Jubilee 2 membership packages. Jubilee 2 members must bring their Lyme Card with them for each activity.
