Registering as a service voter
Members of the armed forces, and their spouse, have the option of either registering as ordinary electors or as 'service voters'.
Service voters can register for a five-year period. As a result, it is important that service voters ensure they update any movement between bases (or even abroad) with us. This will ensure that postal ballot papers are sent to the correct address.
What information is needed?
To register online, you will need:
- your name
- your date of birth
- your service number
- your National Insurance number (if you have one)
The process will take around five minutes to complete.
