What if my name on my photo ID does not match what is on the electoral register?

If your name is correct on your photo ID but not on the electoral register

Please contact the Elections Office with evidence of your name change via electreg@newcastle-staffs.gov.uk

Alternatively, you can send a photocopy of your evidence into Elections Office, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, Barracks Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 1BL or you can bring an original document into our offices to be photocopied and passed along to the Elections team.

If your name is correct on the electoral register but not on your ID

It will be at the discretion of the polling station staff as to whether they are satisfied that the documentation provided is acceptable. We would encourage you to bring an additional document along with you that has your correct name listed in order for staff to consider.
