Extreme Weather

What does this mean for the UK and the Borough?

The consequences of more extreme weather include intense droughts, water and food scarcity, severe wildfires, rising sea levels, flooding, decline in the local natural environment and more catastrophic storms.

For the UK and the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme, extreme weather means warmer and wetter winters, hotter and drier summers and more frequent and intense weather extremes. The UK government and many local authorities have begun and continued action to help the natural environment and reduce air pollution.
