Meet Florence Nightingale (KS1)
Visit our Victorian doctor's surgery to meet Florence Nightingale. She will tell you the story of how she became a nurse and show you Victorian medical equipment. Then, become nurses and join Florence on her mission to help the sick and injured soldiers in Scutari hospital during the Crimean War. You will also be able to ask Florence questions as you put her in the hot seat.
This workshop uses drama to bring history to life.

Half day visit 10am to 12pm.

The children enjoyed all of the experience but they particularly liked going to the basement and carrying out role play activities as soldiers and nurses and bandaging one another.
