Can I take my business waste or recycling to the local Household Waste Recycling Centre?

Staffordshire County Council accepts business waste at its public Household Waste and Recycling Centres (HWRCs). You'll need to contact them before you arrive. Bear in mind that you'll be charged for its disposal, as HWRCs are only free of charge for householders.

If you carry your own waste, or do so on behalf of a third party, you’re legally required to register with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier.

Other licensed waste transfer stations may also offer 'self-tip' recycling facilities for small businesses. Contact them for details of what materials they accept and for their minimum tonnages and charges.
