Who are Anglo Doorstep Collections?

Anglo Doorstep Collections is a UK-based company that collects charity donations of unwanted clothing and small household items, direct from people’s homes. Their collection service is free.

Money raised from all bookings for addresses in the Borough will be going to Connect 2 Combat Homelessness who provide high-quality community support to all vulnerable homeless individuals, whenever and wherever they need it.

Anglo Doorstep Collections is registered with the Fundraising Regulator as well as being a corporate member of the Charity Retail Association. It is also a certified member of TRUST (Trader Recycling Universal Standard, for traders in second-hand clothing, textiles and household products) and a member of TRA (Textile Recycling Association). The TRA promotes best practice for the collections industry for both UK and international markets.

What do Anglo collect?

Anglo can take clothing, shoes, small electricals, toys, tools, ornaments, books, and more.

How to book a collection

Visit the https://anglodoorstepcollections.co.uk/newcastle-under-lyme-borough-council/ regarding the service.

Booking a collection is easy - then all you will need to do is bag or box up your items suitably, ready for collection.

Where do I leave my items?

You can leave them on your doorstep on collection day, but if you would prefer to keep them inside then the driver will come to your front door.  You can opt into updates about where your courier is.

Can I provide specific details for collection?

When you make a booking, there's a notes section where you can include any necessary information.

Please do not contact the Council directly regarding Anglo’s charity collections.  All collections are arranged, managed and made by Anglo Doorstep Collections.  No collection information is held by us.

Will Anglo collect large goods or furniture?

No. The Anglo service is not suitable for large goods or furniture.  There are lots of ways to dispose of those here, and many are free.
