Half a million tonnes of junk mail is generated every year in the UK, with the average household getting over 220 items. Most is never opened.
To reduce the amount of junk mail that you get, register for free with the Mailing Preference Service and remove your name and address from up to 95% of mailing lists.
Royal Mail have a service which can stop unaddressed letters, those to ‘The Occupier’ and ‘door-to-door’ items too.
