Urban tree planting

Phase 2

During National Tree Week, we started phase 2 of our urban tree strategy by planting 30 trees.

These trees were planted at:

  • Newchapel Recreation Ground with the help of Thursfield Primary School, Cllr Jill Waring and The Mayor of Newcastle Cllr Ken Owen
  • Sandy Lane with the help of council leader Simon Tagg and The Mayor of Newcastle Cllr Ken Owen
