Born in Chesterfield, Robin has lived in Staffordshire since 1973. After a 33‑year career with a Swedish multinational engineering company, he retired in 2022 as Chairman of its UK and Japanese operations and a member of the board responsible for Global Sales and Marketing. Today, Robin serves as Non‑Executive Chairman of a Staffordshire‑based law firm on a part‑time basis and works as a business consultant.

In May 2025, Robin was elected County Councillor for Burntwood South. He is Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills and Chairman of the Pension Committee. His extensive leadership experience and commitment to community development underpin his passion for supporting rural services and strengthening local economies.
