Profile

In her role as an Executive Headteacher in Kidsgrove, Emily has led OFSTED and SIAMS inspections at both a primary and secondary level.

She has supported schools causing concern and acted as Executive Headteacher for schools in a range of settings including multi-cultural and high disadvantage.

Emily represents the Newcastle and Kidsgrove district of Headteachers at the Headteachers’ forum and is a member of the Skills Advisory Panel for the Stoke and Staffordshire LEP.

Emily is an active board member for a Staffordshire teaching school alliance that supports schools across the Newcastle Borough.

In addition to being a qualified teacher, Emily holds a first class honours degree, the National Professional Qualification for Headship and a Masters in Educational Leadership.

Before working as an Executive Headteacher, she gained extensive experience in senior leadership in secondary schools. Emily has also worked as a consultant for the Diocesan Board of Education and the Staffordshire local authority.

Emily’s particular areas of expertise are in school improvement, governance, leadership and management, cross phase education and subjects such as English and RE.

She has served as a governor in both primary and secondary schools and led several projects including the multi-million-pound new build project for The King’s CE (A) School in Kidsgrove and academy conversion.
