Profile

Jonathan was elected as the Member of Parliament for Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke on 12 December 2019. Previously he worked as a secondary school teacher in Birmingham.

Jonathan was a head of year, responsible for the achievement, behaviour and safety of over 250 students. He oversaw whole school attendance for years 7 to 11 and was also the school trade union representative for the NASUWT, the teachers' union.

Jonathan is focused on ensuring that a world class education is provided for every child, whatever their background. On housing, he wants the focus to be on building the homes across Stoke-on-Trent North and Kidsgrove that communities need.

He wants to build upon the success of the Ceramic Valley Enterprise Zone by backing business, both small and large, as they continue to grow and create good jobs for local people.

On healthcare, he will champion our local NHS services particularly in the area of quality mental health provision.
