KNP-9: Landscape Setting and Coalescence
Key issues in responses to community engagement
- Preserving the rural character and historical assets of the parish
- Preventing excess housing development and maintain protection offered by Greenbelt from urban sprawl
- Preservation of existing green space and historic parks and gardens
In relation to the above point to “prevent housing development and maintain protection offered by greenbelt” the area identified below should be included in the green gap within the neighbourhood plan as this would be a natural continuation of the green gap already in place by nature of the field to the East of this small area of land
With regards to maintaining the rural aspect of Keele and the preservation of existing green space the area circled above should be included in the “green gap” as this field contributes to the openness of the village.
