Strategic housing and employment land availability assessment (SHELAA) (November 2022)

This is a technical exercise carried out to determine the housing and employment land supply across Newcastle-under-Lyme. The SHELAA examines the suitability, availability and achievability of all sites submitted by land owners, developers and other parties. It also provides a snapshot of the potential supply of deliverable and developable housing sites. The SHELAA does not allocate sites for development, but does provides a key piece of evidence to help inform the site selection and allocation process for the local plan.

Please note: all sites assessed as part of this evidence base work can be viewed on the local plan Interactive map webpage by selecting the layer titled 'strategic housing and employment land availability assessment' within the list of contents.
